Ijime is a serious matter of concern in Japan. This paper proposes the design motivations of Shimpai Muyou! virtual learning environment as a potential answer to the Ijime paradox. Based on virtual role-play, the software will provide the students with an opportunity to be face to face with the virtual Ijime and try to help the victim. Between each episode, the user will enter into a Dialogue Phase, where he or she appraises the situation and recommend a possible strategy for the characters. The primary aim of this interactive sequence is to create sensitivity towards the Ijime problem.
