Patients are demanding implant treatment that is of increasingly higher quality every year. They are demanding not only the restoration of masticatory function but also improvement in esthetics and speech as well as ease of maintenance. The shape and surface properties of implants have improved in recent years. Therefore, it has been easier to apply immediate implant placement and immediate loading in patients having a few missing teeth and with appropriate conditions. For patients with multiple missing teeth, there are those with bone defects at sites suitable for implant placements. In many cases, immediate implant placement and immediate loading may be difficult. Since a CT examination with high accuracy can be performed easily, it is possible to perform accurate placements of implants in patients with limited bone mass. Therefore, I was able to satisfy the demand from this patient. Presently, a precise drill guide is available, and it uses the data from the CT examination. Therefore, a more reliable surgery can be performed.
