In sports, collecting necessary information through the visual organs and making sound judgment based on the information have a great effect on athletes' performance in order to compete with world's top-notch athletes. Particularly, athletes who are hearing impaired cannot help relying on visual information in not only sports but also their daily life. This study examined the sports vision of volleyball athletes who are hearing impaired. The results showed that they were very high in visual abilities and led to the following inference : they have a tendency to try to compensate for their hearing impairment in their daily life in the first place. It is expected that those athletes will be making the most of their high visual abilities in volleyball and that the introduction of special training focusing on the distinctive use of sports vision in volleyball will enable those players to perform better.
