The wave equation in finite linear elastic continua has been developed and its general solution has also been presented in this paper. The characteristic of solution has been shown. For practical use, the coefficients in finite linear elastic material have been related to Lame's constants. Experiments tell that an earthquake wave can not be regarded as propagating with constant amplitude in fact. It can also be said that theoretically in other words that the medium can not be considered as a pure elastic continua, but can be regarded as a viscoelastic continua. In this paper, nonlinear wave is only studied in finite linear elastic continua theoretically. For this reason one of the future study can be expected as study on nonlinear wave in finite linear viscoelastic continua. Another future study can be expected, as has been shown, the study on the elastic wave propagation.
