Hydrogen storage in metal hydrides offers hydrogen feed systems for ground-use gas turbines with long-term operation. We built a simple hydrogen feed system with a hydride reservoir using MmNi_<4.15>Fe_<0.85> of 62 [kg]. The experiment for the hydrogen charging and discharging characteristic of the reservoir was carried out to measure the pressure and temperature history of the reservoir and the flow rates of hydrogen. It was found that the effective thermal conductivity of the hydride was about 1/10 times smaller than that of stainless steel, and the heat transfer through the hydride layer in the reservoir is the rate-controlling step of the hydrogen discharging process. Since the hydrogen discharging flow rate of this feed system with the hydride reservoir could be sustained at a maximum value of 0.5 [g/s], the operation tests of the hydrogen-fueled micro gas turbine were performed using a hydrogen feed system. The stable and controllable operation of the gas turbine was confirmed.
