This paper describes the characteristics of combustion oscillations in premix combustion flame. The flame is stabilized by swirler in the straight tube which simulates gas turbine combustor configuration. Combustion tests were performed in the atmospheric pressure, air temperature of 320K and natural gas fuel. The effects of swirl strength, reference velocity, equivalence ratio and vortices input into combustion zone from upstream of swirler were investigated. High speed video camera, image processing and quartz tube were applied to visualize flame behaviors. The characteristics of combustion pressure oscillations and flame behaviors which have periodic motions in the combustion zone were presented.
