A ceramic gas turbine (CGT) has high potential to ensure high thermal efficiency and clean exhaust emissions, it is believed to be one of the most promising candidate for the next generation engines. The capability of using multi-fuels is adding another superior feature to the CGT, which can satisfy the demand of diversification of energy resources. In the ceramic gas turbine development, a prevaporizing pre-mixing lean(PPL) combustor was adopted to reduce NO_x emission for driving urban cycle operation that was considered to affect significantly environment. Experimental study of adaptability of various liquid fuels to the PPL combustor was carried out with a full scale sized model combustor under the required high temperature conditions of combustor inlet air. In this study, combustion characteristics such as combustion stability, exhaust gas temperature, emissions and flame behavior are compared to evaluate the adaptability of various fuels. Tested fuels are kerosene, diesel oil, light cycle oil, light naphtha blended diesel oil, pyridine doped kerosene and methanol. Experiments was conducted under high air temperature up to 973K and atmospheric pressure.
