The results of the test bed development of a ceramic combustor design for the automotive gas-turbine engine are presented. The design of the liner for the annular combustor was developed with use of the gained experience of application of the alumino-boron-nitride ceramic material "SUGRAV". Opposite to the other structural ceramic materials, the ceramic "SUGRAV" has some special features which makes it different from the conventional ceramics both in terms of techniques of manufacture and its practical application. The internal and external walls of the liner of the annular combustor are made sectional with the ceramic rings and united by the ceramic dome in a form of a half of the torus surface. The compact metal body, where the ceramic rings are secured, ensures a freedom of their temperature expansions.
