300kW ceramic gas turbine development program is progressing as a part of New Sun Shine project under the contract of Japanese Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI). The objective of this project is to develop a 300kW ceramic gas turbine with 42% thermal efficiency at 1350℃ turbine inlet temperature for energy saving technology development. Three types of CGT are under development with individual design concepts and purposes. CGT302 is a recuperated two-shaft ceramic gas turbine for co-generation. Unique technologies like as monolithic -FRC hybrid ceramic components, stress free supporting structures, joining technologies, etc. have been developed for CGT302. In 1994 fiscal year, '1200℃ Basic CGT' was tested successfully, and the targets of the intermediate appraisal and remarkable efficiency were achieved by means of these technologies. This paper describes about the general plan and current status of CGT302 development.
