Blade vibration during rotating stall is investigated through analytical simulation and the experimental results are shown of a 3-section axial flow compressor. Pressure fluctuation in a rotating stall cell can have significant influence on blade vibration as the frequency components near the natural frequency of a blade. Simulation of blade vibration subjected to pulse patterns as pressure fluctuation are in good agreement with the experimental result. Moreover, vibration increases when pulse width Tp and the rotating speed of stall cells Trs are equal to an integer multiplied by the blade's natural frequency period T_0. (Tp, Trs=nT_0 n=1, 2, 3)
