Nickel-base single crystal superalloys are developed for gas turbines. Fourteen alloys are designed using a computer-aided alloy design method originally constructed for conventional cast superalloys and effects of structural stability and alloying addition of Mo, Ti, Nb, and Re on creep rupture strength are investigated. Several alloys with high strength performance at intermediate and high temperatures are developed.
