Detailed velocity and temperature measurements were obtained for secondary air injection through a row of holes over the flat and concave surfaces to clarify behavior of the injected secondary flow. Measurements were made for a mass flux ratio of 0.47 in the two stations close to the holes in streamwise and lateral injection of the secondary air. The holes in the row were spaced five hole-diameters apart and were angled 30 deg to the test surface. In conclusion, there are two peaks of the temperature in the jet core such as an "eye" close to the injection holes over the flat and concave surfaces even in lateral injection. The jet in lateral injection over the concave surface does not so much experience the effect of streamline curvature as does in streamwise injection.
