This paper is concerned with enhanced cooling of gas turbine blades for which heat transfer and friction loss performances in a serpentine channel with pin-fins are experimentally studied, and heat transfer and friction data are correlated. It is found that the mean heat transfer and friction coefficients in the pin-finned serpentine channel are about 40% and 20% higher respectively than in a straight smooth tube.
