This paper describes an experimental investigation of the effects of the Mach number, Reynolds number and temperature ratio on the cooling effectiveness of the convection and film cooled rotor blades in a stationary cascade arrangement. Each of the parameters were changed independently while the other parameters were hold constant. The tests were performed for outlet Mach numbers ranging between 0.3 and 0.7, whereas the outlet Reynolds number was varied between 5×10^5 and 2×10^6 and temperature ratio was varied between 1.2 and 2.27. The natural turbulence of this facility is about 3%. The turbulence level was measured using a constant temperature hot wire probe under the cold conditions. From the analysis of the test results, basic understanding about the correlations between the above mensioned parameters and cooling effectiveness were obtained.
