• There is a growing number of collaborative ventures in the aerospace industry, the IAE V2500 being one of the largest. The engine has developed from that first proposed to meet changing Market and Engineering requirements. The communications between the collaborating parties are extremely important and need to recognise the differences in time, distance and language. The collaboration provides valuable lessons in managing complex international engineering tasks.
