Designs are needed for high temperature gas turbines to effectively supply required amount of cooling air flow to hot parts such as blades and disks. For this purpose, informations on pressure losses in cooling air supply system for gas turbine rotor are necessary to obtain. In this paper, pressure distribution through the cooling air passages was measured and the pressure losses generated within the rotor were experimentally analysed taking rotational effect into account. The result showed that the pressure distribution within the rotor was significantly affected by the behavior of swirling flow resulting in large pressure losses.
