An outline of the reserch and development on the combustors for the advanced reheat gas turbine is presented. According to the R & D progam, the original combustors-the high pressure combustor and the reheat combustor-have been developed along the planned schedule and are ready for operation at the factory. R & D tests such as the flow visualization test, the near atmospheric pressure combustion test and the pressurized combustion test are stated.
