This paper presents a measuring method for leakage flow rate in regenerator, using helium gas as a tracer. The leakage flow rate was able to be measured accurately by helium tracing method compared with air flow measuring method in which leakage was derived subtracting two air flow rates, especially when the leakage flow rate was low. Helium tracing method is useful, since the leakage in regenerator becomes lower with the advance of regenerator development. Measurement error with helium tracing method is also discussed in this paper.
