Taking the Victoria and Albert Museum, the world's greatest museum of Art and Design, as an example, this study paper describes some art management policies for decorative art and design in the U.K. Those policies are typically seen in the V&A Museum's History, Collections, Permanent Galleries, Temporary Exhibitions, Publications, Research System, External Relationships, Commercial Activities, Fund Raising System, and Creative Design Industries. In conclusion, the purpose of the V&A is to enable everyone to enjoy its collections and explore the culture that created them; and to inspire those who shape contemporary design, and that purpose works together for promotion of the creative design industries today in the U.K.
