1) The author measured the threshold wavelength of the photoelectric effect of human blood. 2) The experiments gave the following results : - The threshold wavelength of the photoelectric effect of the blood of healthy persons is longer than 3150 A and shorter than 4300 A in every case of the experiments. On the contrary, however, the threshold wavelength of the photoelectric effect of the blood of the patients with pulmonary tuberculosis is longer than 3150 A and shorter than 4300 A in eight cases out of thirteen, and in five cases it is longer than 2500 A and shorter than 3150 A. 3) It is considerable that the quantity of albumin in blood may influence the threshold wavelength of the photoelectric effect of human blood, because albumin is the only photoelectrically active substance by long visible rays among the ingredients of blood. This reasoning is proved by the fact that the threshold wavelength of the photoelectric effect of the wet human blood, measured immediately after the arrangement, is longer than 2000 A and shorter than 2500 A in every case of the experiments, because the smaller the humidity of albumin, the longer the threshold wavelength of photoelectric effect of it.
