Fukuhara Junior High School was built as a model of a new school education institution. And the ceiling of this school consists of "a lattice beam". The height of the ceiling cleared a building standard, and an illumination design unified on the ceiling was adopted. The total building cost was largely reduced in comparison with the conventional method of construction by the reduction of the ceiling structure. In this paper, We describe the illumination of this building based on an advanced way of thinking in environment and economy.
