The renewal of the lighting was executed in the 6th Building, Faculty of Science and Engineering, Chuo University. Great energy conservation was achieved by adopting lighting facilities that was able to use the daylight easily and easily in this renewal. The self-learning light intensity setting function of deciding the target value of brightness from surrounding brightness and an own optical output is built into these facilities. Because these eliminate illuminance setting operations often performed at night after installation and every layout change, and do not require installation of sensor signal lines thanks to the self-learning light intensity setting function, a substantial reduction of installation work is expected in new or renewal applications.
