• The outline of the research activities at our laboratory was introduced. One of the research concepts of our university is "Practical study based on real leaning", and the approaches based on the actual fields have been pushed forward. Tribology is a complicated phenomenon because great many parameters are related to the phenomenon. It is important to investigate that how each parameters affect the phenomenon individually. As a future development, "Industry, Government, and University" or type of study across the many studying fields is increasingly necessary. Recently, joint studies with some enterprises are performed at our laboratory.
