Immediate Fitting Socket (IFS) system for trance femoral amputees was developed to shorten the long length of time for making an artificial leg, by applying powder technology. The shape modeling performance was evaluated by measuring the cross section area and circumferences of the stump models from a plaster imitation and a copied stump model with IFS. The modeling error was less than 0.5% in Circumference, and less than 0.77% in the cross section area. The average of the peak pressure at the Ischial tubelosity and the Adductor longus muscle tendon, the end of stump were less than 50kPa in IFS walking. The shape modeling including test walking was completed in 40 minutes in an amputee and practical shapes were obtained.
