The author performed an accurate architechtonic study about the metastasis formation of chorionepithelioma into the lung making a special reference to the manner of the artery in such cases and came to the following conclusions. (1) Most of the arteries in the lung are found to have many fibrinoid clots on the inner surface of the wall. (2) Tumor cells derived from the original focus of chorionepithelioma will be attached at first on these clots. (3) Then the tumor cells commence to develop into the clots destructing the wall of the blood vessel then and then. (4) After the destruction of the wall of the blood vessel, there may be formed a true tumor metastasis in the pulmonary tissue. (5) The formation of the fibrinoid clots is found most abundantly in the small blood vessel and very seldom in the greater one (6) These fibrinoid clots are found mostly in the miliar aneurysm which is situated in the bifurcating part or at the convex side of the blood vessel. (7) The formation of the fibrinoid clots in the arterioles of the lung is considered to be based on the allergic phenomena on one side and on the miliar aneurysm or the vein-like dilation of the arterioles on the other side which lets the formation of metastasis appear most frequently in the lung in contrast to the other organs.
