The characteristics of case studies in the appreciation-ology of art are as follows. First, the case studies in the appreciation-ology of art are the practices based on the original theoretical consideration by the author. Second, they are practiced through using the knowledge of aesthetics and art history reconstructed from the viewpoint of appreciation-ology. Third, they are the practices which attach great importance to the act of appreciation of viewers. Fourth, they are practiced efficiently and effectively through the specialization and cooperation carried out by the planner and the performer. Fifth, the proceedings of practices of art appreciation in classroom lessons are clear and exact through making "scripts" and "scenarios". The possibility of case studies in the appreciation-ology of art is as follows. First, the case studies in the appreciation-ology of art will open up a new field of research, which is placed as applied research or developed research in opposition to aesthetics and art history as basic research. Second, the appreciation-ology and its case studies as the only systematic research in which theory and practice are combined will give an important framework to Japanese art "appreciation" in art education.
