• A Japanese girl studying at a Midwest university in the U.S.A. was once invited to a concert by her academic advisor. The advisor and his family picked her up at her dorm and they cheerfully started for the concert. The grandmother of the family said to her, "We are going to a concert in the apple." "In the apple???" This was just what she heard. In the car she was wondering where she was being taken. There was no place nor an auditorium in the neighborhood to have such a name. After the uneasy drive she finally found it was "IndianAPOLis".
