Shell-model approaches to rotation-like spectra are presented. It is shown from simple shell-model calculations that the strong correlations between proton and neutron cause a rotational spectrum when the protons and the neutrons tend to deform in the same type, i. e. aprolate type or an ablate one. And nuclear deformations in th N__-=30 nuclei and in the light Sr-isotipes are discussed from this point of view.
