This paper discusses the theory and practice of plastic arts in preschool education based on Minoru Wada's works. The educational significance of his works is showing us a possibility of the development of science of education, by focusing on children's "play" in place of childcare for knowledge acquisition and presenting childcare for the enhancement and development of children's daily life. Focusing on this aspect of his works, we examined the special feature of his theory of childcare in this paper.
