The subsurface inhomogenities are modeled as continuous random media and the B-scan raw image of a ground-penetrating radar (GPR) is calculated by the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD). Clutters such as surface reflection and subsurface inhomogenities have a large effect on a GPR image. Surface clutters may be removed by filtering eigenimages from the raw image. But the removal of the clutters by subsurface inhomogenities may be difficult. In order to enhance signal-to-clutter ratio of a GPR image, the pixel-by-pixel geometric mean of the filtered images is used here.
