Fifty-two 2nd year senior high-school students (about 17 yrs.old) and their mothers (M=43.7yrs.) were tasted by the forced choice technique of Kikuchi-Gordon Survey of Interpersonal Value(KG-SIV). Six domains of interpersonal value orientation(Support, Conformity, Recognition, Independence, Benevolence and Leadership) were investigated. Boys and girls scored higher than their mothers in the domain of Recognition and lower in Conformity and Benevolence. The mean score of Leadership of the boys was significantly highr than that of the girls. The correlation coefficients were not significant between students and their mothers. The problems of mother-child relationship were discussed.
