The time trend of water-sediment flux of lead was also estimated in the core. Anthropogenic lead contamination and flux increased in 1900s. After that concentration and flux increased in 1960s and decrease from 1965 to the present. However, the lead flux showed the drastic increase from 1985 to 1990. It is considered that the anomaly of the mass flux is a cause on this abnormality. Such transition reflects the historical trend of the environmental loading of lead from the Osaka Bay’s surrounding area by human activity.
