This article addresses the written survey of the Early Editions of 37 Piano Sonatas by Beethoven. Our study seeks to bring out the significance of the process that went between Beethoven's compositions, and his editorial exercises preceding publication. To begin with, I report the first recorded instances of the existence and publication of the manuscripts of these Piano Sonatas based on previous studies. Data from previous research testified to the fact that such manuscripts, exist rarely. I attempt a chronological presentation of his Original Editions (or First Editions) has chronologically composition. Thereafter, I compare two Original Editions of Piano Sonata Op. 27-2, but I could not discover the variants. The need now is to examine the remaining 6 Original Editions of Op. 27-2. There is also the problem related to variants in Beethoven's Original Editions-one school of study, proposes that the two different types of title pages used in the Sonatas can be included in the list of variants ; however, these are accorded the same plate number in an article by Fujimoto and Hasegawa (2000). Another school of study proposes several different variants for the same editions (with the same plate number) which are the Original Editions that I consulted for my study. And then, I mentioned to the editorial problem of Piano Sonata Op. 31 as resemble instance. This survey of the manuscripts and the final publications of Beethoven's Piano Sonatas helped me recognize the true value of his Original Editions. However, I am not equipped to thoroughly investigate the peerless and perfect edition of Beethoven. If anything, we can make an effort to understand the process that he followed in his creative composition and editing for the purposes of publication. I am convinced that we can discern the real motives underlying his music if we approach his works in manner. I now wish to carry out a thorough investigation of these editions in order to attain to a better understanding of Beethoven's works.
