Our recent work on thermal evolution of neutron stars is introduced. We start by presenting the results of our pion cooling calculations. We carry out calculations for other various non-standard cooling scenarios and the results are compared. Next we summarize the results of our work on frictional heating. Our theoretical models are then compared with the currently up-dated observational data. Very recently we started our investigation of the effects of magnetic fields on thermal properties of neutron stars, mainly in the form of temperature modulation over the stellar surface due to the anisotropic electron and photon conductivities under strong, quantized magnetic fields. Our preliminary results are summarized.
