Globalization undermines national economy, by deregulation, privatization and free flows of goods, volatility of money. It aims at creating the unfettering market forces reaching to every aspect of our life, and generates the difficulties of people's economic life. Also, globalization leads to the decline of politics, because the neoliberal policies adopted by states often harm the people's power of decisions. Thus, in this essay I insist democratic regulations should be required in socio-economic sphere, in which common people are immobilized. Immigration requires democratization of the national border. And also immigration and the flows of culture accompanied with it show clearly that nation has not been homogenous, but hybrid in particular in the level of cultural representation. Because globalization leads to new patterns of exclusion and inclusion, multiculturism is demanded of many countries. But multiculturism is relevant only in terms of the new citizenship. The activities of multinational corporations and large waves of immigration show increasingly porosity of the national border and the vulnerability of national sovereignty, which states desperately want to protect. Indeed, nation-states are important players in international politics, but the new citizenship and democratic regulations need intensification of transnational (or global) civil society, because of exceeding the limits of national democracy. In concluding section I insist that revitalization of politics be required for democratic regulations.
