Chromosomal analysis was made on embryogenic calli of Bunium persicum at various subcultures and on plants regenerated from them. The callus consisted of only diploid cells (2n=14) in the first subculture but in the subsequent subculture cells with chromosome number ranging between 15-30 were observed. All regenerated plants were normal diploids with 2n=14 chromosomes in their root tips cells.
