Whenever we looked for the most efficient way for producing commercial truck vehicles, we have always faced with 2 big obstacle things, the one is seasons-fluctuating production volume and the other is wide specs.-variations for every model. As a solution to these basic problems, we, Hino Motors, have designed and developed, under a completely different idea, new truck series whose parts and units are modulated to the maximum level/state we can imagine for USA market as the first ones. By combining, or selecting as additional optional items, these modulated parts and units up to a vehicle with such specifications as meets with each customer' request and contributes to their profit, we have been able to cope with one of 2 big obstacle things, wide specs.-variations for every model. And, from the manufacturing-side aspect, to cope with the production volume fluctuation problem, we have developed and established a new on-the-turn-table production method, instead of current spacious in-line conveyor production method, where modulated parts and units whose functions are assured by the unit of sub-ass'y conditions are assembled up to a vehicle on the basis of angle degree controlled takt time. This is our Hino Motors' Reforms in Design & Development and Production Ways which have realized our ever lasting challenge of "Production in Shortest Leadtime with Fluctuating Volume of Wide-variation Specs. Truck Vehicles."
