The Kokushi deposits of the Kobushi skarn deposits, located in the northern vicinity of the Kofu granitoids, are geologically studied. They are spatially related to the lenticular limestones in the mudstones of the Kawakami Formation . The mode of occurrence strongly suggests that small stocks of granite porphyry of the Kofu granitoids could make the lenticular limestones of the Kawakami Formation skarnize. The garnet and hedenbergite skarns are predominant. This study on the Kokushi deposits of the Kobushi skarn deposits reveals existence and distribution of 23 adits in the Kokushi deposits. They are all shown in a map with brief descriptions of the modes of occurrence of minerals, especially gold found in the adit of No.9, magnetite in the adit of No.3 and quartz and other minerals in several adits in the deposits as well as the zonal arrangement of the skarns and their distribution in the mining area.
