We carried out centrifuge model tests for two dimensional seepage failure in horizontal ground. Experimental results of hydraulic gradient in boiling state obtained by three acceleration levels (1G, 20G, 50G) were higher than Taylor's critical hydraulic gradient that widely used by practicing engineers. Also, the pressure level effect by the acceleration levels was scarcely recognized. As compared with 1G test, however, the behavior of seepage failure in centrifuge tests of the levels (20G, 50G) tended to express the whole of horizontal ground. It was useful for centrifuge test in observing behavior of seepage failure with avoiding the effect of non-uniformity.
