The number of customers who communicate via cellular phone indoors continue to increase. Their mobile terminals are used in the static condition rather than while moving. It is obvious that the communication characteristiccs of static use differ strongly from those of moving use. This indicates that system design can be effective only when the propagarion characteristics in the static condition indoors have been clarified. In this paper, we measure he channel characteristics for static terminals used indoors in the Line of Sight (LOS) condition. We investigate the received level characteristics and its autocorrelation function empirically based on the measurement results.
