In general, large scale circuits contain several often used subcircuits that have already been analyzed. By specifying these subcircuits by simple macromodels, large scale circuits can be analyzed efficiently. In this paper, we propose an efficient method for finding DC operating points of nonlinear circuits containing such macromodels (namely, neither voltage nor current controlled piecewise-linear resistors) using the homotopy method and the SPICE-oriented approach. The proposed method can be easily implemented on SPICE without programming.
