GPS is a very useful and convenient system for positioning and time transfer applications for users. The Japanese Quasi Zenith Satellite System (QZSS) provides complementary and augmented service and could be combined for use with GPS. The performance analysis of the integrated use of QZSS and GPS was performed. Assuming successful interoperability between GPS and QZSS, the positioning accuracy improvements for the user of various elevation mask angle were simulated. Improvements in the horizontal and vertical positioning error statistics, in comparison with GPS only, are shown in this paper. High elevation mask angle users will benefit more from QZSS then the open sky users.
