We proposed the modified phase-only correlation, referred to as the mirror image phase-only correlation or the DCT sign-only correlation and considered an application to image matching. This correlation is considered from the relationship between the sign information of DCT coefficients and the phase term of Discrete Fourier Transform coefficients. Since some simulation results, the effectiveness of the DCT sign-only correlation is demonstrated and it is realized that the correlation is applied to image matching as well as the POC.
