A Gas Heat Pump is an air-conditioner letting a compressor operate with gas engine, and shows high performance at heating operation by making good use of exhaust heat from engine. As the demand for alternative refrigerant increase for ozone layer protection, the new refrigerant R410A is expected to improve the driving efficiency by its superior heat condition. In comparison with a conventional refrigerant; however, the characteristics of the new refrigerant are greatly different and more effective design is needed. The refrigeration cycle simulation technology to predict air-conditioning performance becomes indispensable. Therefore, we built the accurate refrigerant cycle simulation of GHP corresponding to R410A refrigerant with modeling in two thermal components. The one is the heat effect to be mixed with circulating oil that prevent a compressor from being branded; the other is the heat exchanger which helps evaporation by exhaust heat from engine.
