We has established the veiy high pressure water atomize process that enables the mass production of 2%Ni-Fe alloy super fine powder. When the sintering examination was done with 2%Ni-Fe alloy powder made in the process, the sintering density became 7.5Mg/m^3, and indicated an enough value. The sintering speed became faster as a powder particle size became finer. Moreover, a high sintering density was obtained even at the same sintering temperature. In addition, the improvement of the surface roughness of the sintered compact was obtained by a powder particle size becoming finer. As a result, the market of MIM product can be expected to expand greatly by applying our finer alloy powder to the MIM process.
