(1) Research purpose This research intended to clarify the current state of the approach of rehabilitation in the special nursing home for the elderly, and to consider the ideal way of rehabilitation in the nursing in the future. (2) Research method The anecdotal survey was executed in execution and six facilities of the questionnaire survey by mailing for the special nursing home for the elderly in Hokkaido. (3) Research result ・The content of rehabilitation in the special nursing home for the elderly became a center from the special one done by arranging the physical therapist by the nursing master etc. and had diversity to the one mainly composed of recreation very much. ・It is because rehabilitation is located partially of life because it aimed bringing of the service of the special nursing home for the elderly to life by staying close. ・The nursing insurance method was revised, and the nursing prevention became a prevailing purpose in 2006. As a result, the approach that nursing doesn't deteriorate as much as possible came to be requested at the special nursing home for the elderly. ・In addition, the special elderly nursing home also has what supports the senior citizen from the base of nursing care for elderly people in the region to the region as a role. ・Then, the special elderly nursing home is requested to work on special rehabilitation by arrangement of the physical therapist etc. Besides rehabilitation to which the situation to date is diversified more than before.
