• The machine equipped with eccentric gears has been proved of great utility in various cases which are next to impossible, owing to the intricacy of tooth profile to use an ordinary hobbing machine for cutting.　This was experimented in the escape wheel of a clock. Moreover, the possibility of making sharp corner by taking off fillet from the groove of the splined shaft for cars, and that of putting fillet with any radius was proved in the hobbing machine equipped with eccentric gears, which are impossible in the ordinary hobbing machine.
