Large Eddy Simulations (LES) were performed in transverse and angled ribbed square ducts with rib pitch-to-height ratio of P/e=10 and a rib height to hydraulic diameter ratio of e/D=0.07. The Reynolds number based on bulk velocity was approximately 10,000 - 36,000 for transverse ribbed duct and 11,000 - 32,000 for angled ribbed duct. The results showed that angled ribs strengthen flows toward ribbed walls and enhance heat transfer. In addition, the relation between the time-averaged Nusselt number and the Reynolds number showed satisfactory agreement with the experimental data.
