• This paper deals with a new set function on a possibility space, which we call lambda credibility measure. It is a convex combination of possibility measure and necessity mesure. We will show how far the lambda credibility measure is located from credibility measure. We show that λ should be 1/2 if possibility and necessity are not the same set function on the possibility space and self duality property of lambda credibility holds on the space. Next, we show that if the lambda credibility mesure is self dual for fuzzy events, then a triangular fuzzy variable reduces to a Dirac masure. Finally, we define a lambda credibility expectation to show that credibility measure is the most useful one among the lambda crdibility measures, where 0<λ<1, in fuzzy mathematical decision making.
