A general concept of a Social skill is loosely based on the idea of 'appropriate actions in social situation depend on skills that individuals have'. Many studies have shown the relation between Social skills and successful psychological adjustments in various domains. Public interest in Social skills is also high. Social skill is a promising idea. However, can researchers study in accord with our actual life? In addition, how much does Social skill affect adaptations in a realistic meaning in our everyday life? This article reviews the flow of Social skill studies and describes some problems at present. I put roles of a social skill considering a relation with Emotional Intelligence which is a similar notion. Furthermore, I propose the general idea of 'Meta-Social skill' as a concept to reinforce and sustain impact of Social skill's on our social adaptation. That is a skill to Meta recognize one's skills and the situations and to choose an appropriate skill.
